Romanian military doctors decorated with the medal "To strengthen the brotherhood of arms" (video)

CHISINAU, May 16, 2020 - The Minister of Defense Alexandru Pinzari, decorated with the medal "For the consolidation of the brotherhood of arms" the group of military doctors, coming from Romania, to help the Moldovan specialists in the fight with the new COVID-19.

The distinctions were offered on the occasion of concluding their mission in our country and as a sign of appreciation for the support offered to Moldovan doctors from strategic institutions in combating the pandemic related to the spread of coronavirus.

During the decoration ceremony, which took place on the plateau of the defense institution, Alexandru Pinzari thanked the 12 military doctors from across the Prut for the sacrifice and the act of courage they demonstrated for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. "You gave us the support we needed so much. The fact that you have been away from your families and children to help other families is worthy of all our admiration and gratitude. We wish you health and successfully completed missions!" , said the Minister of Defense.

It should be mentioned that 2 weeks ago, a team of 42 doctors and nurses from the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Health arrived in the Republic of Moldova to support the medical staff in our country in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Together with their Moldovan colleagues, they provided medical assistance and care to infected patients and trained medical staff in institutions in Balti, Chisinau and Cahul.
