The mission of the Cabinet of Minister of Defense is to assist the Minister's of Defense activity as a member of Government and head of the Ministry of Defense.

The mission of the Directorate is to develop, promote, ensure, coordinate and manage the defence policy and national defence planning process at national and international level. 

The human resources policy department has the mission of contributing to the achievement of the objectives and strategic directions of the Ministry of Defense by developing, promoting and monitoring the implementation within the National Army, authorities and institutions under the ministry of public policies and regulations regarding the development of human resources and military education

The legal department has the mission of contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives and the effective implementation of the ministry’s policies by ensuring legal activity and uniform compliance with the regulatory framework.

The mission of the Internal Audit Service is to perform internal audit missions and provide advice and impartial assertion on the effectiveness of the financial management system and control, in order to contribute to gain value and to provide recommendations for its improving.

The financial-administrative section has the mission of organizing departmental financial activity and keeping accounting records of the execution of budget allocations and collected funds, as well as submitting proposals that offer effective solutions in the fields of competence.

The Information and Communications Technology Service has the mission of implementing and coordinating the implementation of policy documents, normative acts, including departmental ones, regarding Information and Communications Technology, ensuring effective management in the ICT field, as well as submitting proposals that provide effective solutions in field of competence.
