Moldavian Military study the Cyber Defense Management



Chişinău, November, 7th 2012 — National Army signal personnel partake in the workshop entitled “Cyber Defence Management within NATO”, which takes place at the Ministry of Defence from November 6th through November 8th.

According to the chief of Communication and Information Systems Directorate of the Main Staff, colonel Igor Zavalski, the objective of the above mentioned event is to develop the capabilities to protect information systems against cyber attacks, as well as achieve a higher level of interoperability in this field with other structures involved in the process of assuring the state security.

Moldavian military study the evolution of the cyber threats and learn the various aspects of the incident response management team. Furthermore, within this workshop, they study and analyze up-to-date methods for securing computers, technical equipment and solutions to monitor the cyber defence and the integrity of the informational systems.

This workshop is organized due to the assistance of mobile training team of NATO Joint Headquarters, dislocated in Madrid, Spain. In this regard, 25 representatives of the National Army from the Communication and Information Systems Directorate, Military Academy, Communication and Information Center, Force Commandments, military units and Information and Security Service take part in this workshop.
