Army champions in shooting



CHISINAU, November 26th , 2012 — the sportsmen of the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA) won six gold medals within the open shooting Championships, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Army Central Sports Club.

According to lieutenant colonel Vasile Olednic, head of physical training and sports of the National Army, the six winners were Anastasia Jiriţcaia (359p.), Constantin Mirror (360p.) and Ecateriana Raileanu (392p.), leaders in air rifle shooting. The rifle leaders in different age categories are Artiom Berezovschi (563p.) Ion Aric (364p.)​​, Diana Negreba (380p.),.

The source announced that Alexandru Pascal, Alina Isaeva, Vlad Bejenari, Iurie Stamatin, Valeriu Negreba, Marina Zgurscaia and Diana Adam as the Army Sports Club members were ranked second in the competition.

Ionut Tanase, the acting head of the Army Central Sports Club, said that in total, CSCA has placed 26 marksmen competing, 13 of them won gold and silver medals.

The Shooting championship brought together over 60 participants from Iasi Romanian Federation of Shooting, SC Unirea Focsani, Romania, Army Central Sports Club and other sports institutions from Moldova. Participants competed in air rifle shooting and pistol in juniors, youth, and seniors classes. This is the 5th edition of the competition and is a test for the skills of our team before their participation in the European Shooting Championships, to be held in March 2013, as well as further worldwide competitions.
