Airspace Control Reviewed by Foreign Experts



Chisinau, February 25, 2014 — A group of international experts from the Air Command Ramstein, Germany, visits the National Army, within February 24-27, to conduct a workshop on airspace and air connectivity.

According to Commander of the Air Force Command, Col. Vadim Cemirtan, the visit aims at analyzing the airspace control system and identifying possibilities of supporting the development of this area, in compliance with international standards. Col. Cemirtan specified that the foreign experts focus on the airspace control, ground-based air defense, command, control and communications, as well as the aircraft interception.

The quoted source also mentioned that the experts in Airspace Management and Control, Command and Control, Communications, Policies and Ordonnance, as well as Defense Partnership, will discuss with the Moldovan servicemembers aspects related to rotary-wing aircraft missions, flights conduct, planning procedures. The parties will also make an exchange of experience in the flight security area.

The event brings together servicemembers from the Air Force Command, Anti-Air Missile Regiment “Dimitrie Cantemir”, and Airbase “Decebal” from Marculesti.
