National Army Contingent at „Combined Resolve III” ExerciseChisinau, October 16, 2014 — A contingent of 105 National Army soldiers will participate, within October 17 — November 12, at “Combined Resolve III” multinational exercise, held at Hohenfels Training Centre, Germany. According to Col. Ghenadie Safonov, Commander of the Moldovan contingent, the goal of the exercise is to train servicemembers for joint missions and insure interoperability of troops. The quoted source specified that Moldovan servicemembers, along with other partner nations’ troops, would carry out patrol missions, convoy escort, transportation and support operations and medical evacuation. The National Army deployed to Germany 60 servicemembers of the Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun”, 30 soldiers of Special Forces Battalion “Fulger” and 15 of Guard Battalion. Exercise “Combined Resolve III” will bring together more than 4,000 servicemembers from Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, U.S. and Hungary.
