EOD Equipment Tested at Negresti (video)

CHISINAU, March 5, 2015 — The National Army EOD engineers tested the EOD equipment during an inspection conducted today at the Military training center Negresti of the Engineer Battalion “Codru”. The event was attended by Minister of Defense, Viorel Cibotaru, and Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Goran.

According to Interim Commander of the Land Force Command, Col. Iurie Bruma, the leadership checked the specialized vehicles: BAT-M obstacle removing vehicle, BTM-3 trench digging vehicle, and MDK-2 shelter digging vehicle.

The Engineer Battalion “Codru” staff prepared the territory to carry out fortification works (obstacles removal), dug shooting shelters for the vehicles, and drove the special EOD vehicles.

The military vehicles inspection is part of the National Army training plan and aimed to evaluate the driving capabilities and skills of the staff.
