The "Fulger" Special Force Battalion celebrated 27 years since its creation
CHISINAU, November 1, 2019 - The Special Force Battalion "Fulger" of the National Army marks today the 27th anniversary. On this occasion, a ceremony was held at the National Army Training Center, attended by military and civilian officials from the Republic of Moldova, Romania and the USA.
During the event, the Minister of Defense, Pavel Voicu, congratulated the staff of the unit and handed out distinctions of the National Army and honorary diplomas to a group of soldiers.
Pavel Voicu said that for the National Army the Special Purpose Battalion is more than a military unit. The "Fulger" Battalion is a subdivision, made up of professionals, who have made their military profession a vocation. And we see this both in the activities carried out at the level of the army, and in those that take place abroad - in multinational exercises, international missions, trainings and courses", said the Minister of Defense.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the soldiers of the Battalion organized exhibitions of technique, weapons and special equipment and carried out a series of demonstration exercises and parachute jumps
